That the Eternal, True and Holy Trinity is one God existing in three personalities-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

What We Believe

We believe that the church is the hope of the world. Our focus at Hope Central church is to see people engaged and feel a sense of belonging to the body of Christ. We are called to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe in reaching the world around us with the truth of the gospel that Jesus saves, heals and delivers. Jesus is no longer dead in the grave but alive and real today. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, God incarnate. He came in human form to sacrifice Himself, once for all, that we might not perish but have eternal life.

From the start Hope Central has been about God and people. God’s heart of compassion for people beats within the church. That’s why the church’s motto has been Real Life, Real Hope, Real God. Reaching out to the people around us is part of our DNA. Reaching out to our local community through Church in the Park, Christmas events, youth group, Scripture teaching in schools, community dinners etc. And reaching out to the wider world through mission trips to Ukraine and supporting missions work in that nation.

History of Hope Central

The church began in 1996 as Bankstown Family Church planted by the principal of Southern Cross bible College Ps Steve and Sandra Fogarty along with David and Sally McLennan. David and Sally became the first pastors of the church. Meetings were held in Rydges Hotel on the Hume Highway, Bass Hill. Later the church moved to the campus of the Bible College at 40 Hector Street, Chester Hill.
